WHAT? Get up on a Saturday when you don’t have to? Helping alumni brothers pick-up trash for 45 minutes when you could be sleeping in? That’s not why you chose to come to VCU.
Trust us, we didn’t get our advanced degrees to come back on campus and pick up trash either. Technically, it’s a labor of love. We do it once, maybe twice every quarter because it allows us to keep in touch with alumni brothers we don’t see every day, much less every year.
So there’s a lot of conversation, sometimes coffee and donuts, and some very light community service while we remind each other about the best parts of life when we were undergrads.
If you’d like to join us we meet at 9 am in front of the Altria Theater. No need to RSVP, just show up and introduce yourself to the guys holding trash bags. AEKDB.
