We want to thank all the brothers who turned out for the 2nd Virtual 3rd Thursday.
We had quite a turnout and many new faces.
ROLL CALL
Twenty-brothers joined, spanning the decades. We heard from everyone, including the usual suspects. Attendees included but were not limited to; Alan Rogers, Bob Milburn, Chad Boyd, Chris Moorehead, Craig Corrieri, David Branch, Greg Lloyd, Henry Cabrera, Jim VanZee, Kevin Taylor, Kevin “Moby” Jones, Mike Jacobson, Monirom Southakakoumar, Scott Hall, Steve Twombly, Taylor (Opie) Randler, Thad Chilton, Tracy Marks, Wayne Middleton, AND Woody Tripp!
BROTHER COMMENT
The first two-thirds involved a lot of (virtual) reunions between brothers who hadn’t seen each other in ages…
The comparison of Corona Cuts
The showing off of paddles, both original and “rescued”
We had the expected combination of catching up, sharing of favorite stories, and general brothers busting each others’ proverbial balls. (and one Kent Walker story)
We also found out how many attendees had served in the military, who has eaten crayons before, and who experienced Vietnam 1st hand.
The last third of our event was sparked by Tracy Marks also asked for a recolonization update which dovetailed into conversations about how to colonize without a house, how this was done before Lambda-Zeta even had a house and how things would progress moving forward.
Much of the last 1/3 centered around what we got out of Kappa Sig and how that could be passed on for future initiate classes. (and this happened more organically then you think). Camaraderie, brotherhood, shared experiences, and a common bond were all discussed with great sincerity.
I had a hard stop at 9 pm but others carried on with Jim VanZee filling us on planning and prep for the 50th Anniversary in 2021.
FUTURE 3rd THURSDAYS
We hope to get back to real vs. virtual 3rd Thursdays soon — but we may still do these from time to time to loop in out of town brothers — AEKDB Brothers!
