We can finally share that our third recipient of the Endowment Scholarship is Marguerite Hudson. She’s a marketing major who is on track to graduate in December. About the Scholarship
On May 2, 2010, our friend and brother, Will Sheffey, lost a long battle with brain cancer. In Will’s memory, brother Brad Welles, lead a charge to establish a memorial scholarship in Will’s name through the School of Business at VCU. Through the caring hearts and generosity of many of Will’s family, friends, and Kappa Sigma brothers, fundraised over $10,000 to add to the endowment. Since that time, the fund has increased through additional donations and investment growth.
AN EASY WAY TO MAKE A GIFT
When Brother Will Sheffey passed, we established a scholarship with VCU’s School of Business to memorialize him. Those wishing to continue to honor Will Sheffey, we now have a more streamlined way to submit a tax-deductible gift.
By Check: Send a check to the attention of Katy Beisheim, the Annual Giving Manager at VCU School of Business, Box 844000, Richmond, VA 23284. The check should be written out to VCU School of Business Foundation, with Will Sheffey Endowment Scholarship in the memo line.
By Credit Card: Go online to: support.vcu.edu/business, select “Other” from “I would like to direct my gift to” and type “Sheffey Endowment Scholarship” in the box next to “Other Designation.”
