TOURNAMENT. ENDOWMENT. SCHOLARSHIP.

The Will Sheffey Memorial Endowment Golf Tournament is an annual event that funds the Scholarship Endowment created through VCU in his name.

In addition to honoring our late Kappa Sigma brother, who lost his battle with brain cancer in 2010, the Endowment provides annual scholarships to deserving VCU School of Business students. The scholarship recipients are students with academic excellence and an exceptional commitment to community service.

Brookwoods Golf Club opened in 1976 and was the first course in New Kent County.

It is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Richmond, exit 205 off I-64 east. It is also only 5 miles from the Richmond Airport on route 60. Golfers can expect to enjoy a course with five par fives, five par threes, and eight par fours. Each hole has its own unique characteristics.

The golf course layout includes many doglegs, but the biggest challenge is the green complexes. Every green has various slopes and rolls, providing premium on-shot location and putting experiences. The 34 bunkers are well placed around the greens, some having the Scottish sod wall bunker faces. Players will find tight tree-lined fairways, and there is some water to avoid. Just about every hole at Brookwoods has its own secluded corridor away from the distractions of the other golfers. These factors create a sense of adventure as first-time players explore each hole.

Individual golfers are welcome - we will find you a partner so everyone can play.
This is a rain or shine event - Players should bring rain gear in the event of bad weather.
No refunds will be given after April 28, 2024.
NOTE: You can play nine more holes before the tournament for only $15 more. (must arrange tee times at 10:00 am or earlier directly with Kevin Taylor.)
